I'm 18, based in Garden City, Michigan. I started building apps in high school because I kept noticing problems no one was solving, and I'd rather build than wait for someone else to do it. I got my mortgage loan officer license while still in school for the same reason: I wanted real skills, real ownership, real work, not a resume.
Furnish is my second app. The first was a smaller thing, a useful one, that taught me how to ship something real. This one is the big swing. I'm doing it because I kept watching people I know hit the same wall: a beautiful new house, an empty room, no idea where to start, no budget for a designer.
Furnish came from watching people I know struggle to make their homes feel finished. Empty rooms. Pinterest paralysis. Quotes from interior designers that cost more than a car payment. I wanted to make this accessible to everyone, not just people with $5,000 to spend on a designer they barely talk to.
Furnish is for the new homeowner staring at empty walls. The renter tired of mismatched IKEA furniture. The real estate agent trying to help clients see what's possible. Anyone who wants their home to feel like theirs, without the gatekeeping, the cost, or the wait.

If you cannot click and buy a piece in a Furnish room, the room is not done. We close the loop.

A designer takes weeks. Furnish takes about a minute. Time is the cheapest gift we can give you.
Independent, not pushed.
Our picks are not paid placements. Affiliate commissions do not change which piece we surface for your room.
How we make money
Free for you. Paid by retailers.
Furnish is free to use. The app is free. The website is free. There are no subscription fees, no premium tiers at launch, no upsells.
When you buy a product from a retailer through a Furnish link, the retailer pays us a small commission. The price you pay does not change. The commission comes out of the retailer's marketing budget, not your pocket.
We pick products based on quality, style, and fit for the rooms we design. Commission rates do not influence what we recommend. If two coffee tables would both fit a room, we pick the one that looks better in the room. Not the one that pays us more.
When products in our blog posts contain affiliate links, we say so at the top of the post. Always. Every time. The Federal Trade Commission requires this disclosure for affiliate content, and we agree.
